Papa’s got a brand new bag, Ow!
I guess it’s actually been awhile since I last posted….but new printer, means more posts! Although I enjoyed my Ender 5 pro over the last 3 years, it didn’t get much use over the last 18 months. In August, I decided to get back into it and then came across the Bambu Lab X1C via an advert on Facebook.
Normally, I tend to ignore FB adverts as they are mostly scams (which I keep telling my mother), however, this one intrigued me. I had never heard of Bambu Lab before but after some research I was thinking that they are the real deal…reading through X and Reddit posts, they got a lot of love, mainly for the ease of use and the quality of prints.
If you owned a printer like the Ender 5 (or similar), you will know that it involves a lot of tinkering, and in some cases, a lot of frustration. Anyway, I am very impulsive so I decided to take the plunge on the flagship model…the X1 Carbon. The P1S would have been great for my use case but I would have felt dissatisfied had I not got the best….nearly 3 months later, I do not regret the purchase one bit! I will do a full review on the X1C in the coming weeks but I definitely recommend, and I have read that the other printers are just as good. One thing I would highly recommend though is buying an AMS (Automated Material System) as this opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of multi-coloured printing.
Anyway, I will add a stock image of the print (for some reason my desk has my printer on a slight angle) but over the coming days, I will post more blogs with some of my recent prints!
